As a boy my first memories are of Priest Lake, Idaho where my dad and mom raised my three brothers and myself. To keep order, my dad devoted himself to his sons by involving us in the Boy Scouts. He became the Scout Master of our troop and it seems nearly every weekend was a campout at some new exciting spot. After 15 years my father had produced nearly 40 Eagle Scouts including his 4 sons. These years were perhaps the most important and wonderful years any young boy could have dreamed of. To this day the things learned in those years are still the driving force that leads me in my life today, whether it be in business or at play.

After high school I attended Eastern Washington University, and graduated with a BA in Political Science/Government and a Minor in Sociology. My most memorable time in college was the time I spent in Mexico under an independent studies program. My mission was to interview the Americans incarcerated there and help determine the viability of their status in the upcoming prison exchange between the U.S. and Mexico. My final year of college I worked as a Senate Intern in Olympia, Washington where my primary work was on the research and preparation of a K-12 Education Bill.

After Graduation I formed Lawyers Legal Liaisons. This became an extremely successful investigative business operating in the states of Washington and Idaho. It involved surveillance, tracking, skip tracing, and individual profiling. The work required detailed and documented reports with certified affidavits to be filed with their respective local jurisdictions. After many years it became apparent that I was longing for my rural Idaho roots and sold the business to my brother.

The move back to Priest Lake was a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community which had given so much to me. I have worked in the Real Estate field, formed Priest Lake Construction, managed Priest Lake Golf Estates Sales Office, and have been the manager of Match Bay Development Company. It has also been my pleasure to be appointed as Special Master and Referee in several different civil litigations in our community.

While working back in the area that I love is rewarding in itself; the real reward has been in my community involvement. I was elected to Board of the Outlet Sewer and Water District and served as Chairman overseeing over 3 million dollars in improvements. My election to Commissioner of the West Priest Lake Fire District no only allowed me to be involved in the development of 2 Fire Halls and the purchase of a fire boat and other equipment, it also fulfilled a childhood dream of becoming a volunteer firefighter.

The most challenging and rewarding board position is the Northern Lights Electric Cooperative. I am a Credential Cooperative Director and Board Leadership Certified by the National Rural Electric Association. I have served as Vice President and Treasurer, and sit on many committees such as the Donations Committee and Scholarship Committee. The highest honor however was being selected by the National Rural Electric Association's International Foundation to work as a volunteer in Croatia. My mission was to help develop energy efficient measures that would enhance the lives of this war torn region. After two trips we were able to develop a plan that was finally implemented. Our goal was to demonstrate the advantages of Co-ops as a democratic means to determine their destiny. Other board positions in which I participate are as follows: Northwest Public Power Association, Co-op Energy Propane, Idaho Consumer Owned Utility Association, Idaho Energy Authority, and the Conner County Waterways Advisory Committee.

I have left the best for last. I am married to a wonderful lady named Nicky. I have three daughters, Kara, Krista and Alana. My only hope as a father is that I might be able to instill in my children the importance of community involvement and participation that my father instilled in me.
