Developing Idaho's Renewable Resources
Renewable resources are Idaho’s future. Representative Anderson supported legislation for
the development of alternative energy sources (HB432), and sponsored legislation for the
development of renewable resources on state public lands to generate new funding sources
for public education. (HB500 – HCR054)
   
Cutting Property Taxes
Hard earned money must stay in our pockets, and not go to endless taxes. Representative
Anderson continues to cut taxes for small businesses (HB599 – HB588). He also
sponsored legislation to put a cap on property taxes for North Idaho homeowner’s.
   
Good Paying Jobs
Local business growth and good paying jobs are the heart of North Idaho’s economy.
Representative Anderson voted to help small employers grow (HB431), and sponsored
legislation to bring new film and television business developments and job opportunities to
North Idaho. (HB592)
   
Students and Teachers Need Our Support
High student achievement is the most important piece of a child’s education.
Representative Anderson voted to increase teacher pay, and to increase classroom
supplies providing teachers and children with adequate tools for success.

First Responders
Rural areas rely on volunteers to serve and protect our homes, communities and families.
Representative Anderson co-sponsored legislation to provide benefits for Emergency
Volunteer Responders who are injured in the line of duty, keeping them healthy and able
to protect our communities. (SB 444)
   
Energy Efficient State Buildings
We must become energy efficient within State Government. Representative
Anderson sponsored the Idaho Energy Efficient State Building Act requiring all state
buildings to achieve 10% energy efficiencies over current code which will save
